Since the end of World War II "Western Countries" are situated in a store with very nice but fragile china displayed on many of its vitrines and shelves. Every person in this shop is taking utmost care not to break vases, cups or plates. But should it happen, people come together to mend the piece of porcelain, or get a replacement in the rare cases it cannot be fixed. That worked fine for decades.
But in 2017 and again 2025 the USA released an elephant into this china store. That elephant is clumsy and has no real idea what is does there. And in fact doesn't care about the other people in the shop. Subsequently a lot of porcelain is smashed. And even if the other people race to prevent more damage, they can't help it. Suppose many just want the elephant out, with some starting to count the time until the elephant has to leave.
This countdown clock is inspired by the Doomsday-Clock, counting minutes to nuclear Armageddon. This clock here counts days.
